JOB DESCRIPTIONPrimary PurposeThis position has responsibility for overseeing the payroll tax process for the US population of Adient processed through ADP Smart Compliance. This involves reconciling tax payments, reviewing tax returns prepared and filed by ADP, as well as reviewing balancing reports on a minimum of a quarterly basis. This position will also be responsible for assisting with payroll tax issues such as uploading tax notices to ADP Smart Compliance and assisting with quarter and year end activities. In addition, this position will also assist with processing of the weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payrolls using ADP Globalview and Enterprise eTime.Primary DutiesReview the daily BSI tax report from ADP and make updates as requiredEnsure annual unemployment tax rates are updated in Smart ComplianceAssist with reconciliation of tax payments and filings completed by ADPAssist with processing various types of imputed income such as relocation, stock options and personal use of company car, to ensure proper year end W2 reportingCross train within the department to learn all aspects of payroll such as garnishments, escheatment's and creating reports to ensure adequate back up for all team membersAssist in the achievement of Adient goals and objectivesPerforms other tasks/duties as assignedJob Specifications / RequirementsDegree in business related discipline (Business, Accounting, Finance, HR, etc.), or a minimum of 3 to 6 years in Payroll/Tax related positionsAdvanced knowledge of multi-state payroll tax processingAnalytical, problem-solving and research skills on tax issuesAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, with minimal supervisionMust be customer-focused with an emphasis on quality, detail, and accuracyStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsExcellent English communication skills - Written, verbal and interpersonalIntermediate level skill in Microsoft Word and Microsoft ExcelPRIMARY LOCATIONCentral Tech Unit Plymouth MI
