interest.We are seeking a Buyer II to join our lean and agile team
as this is a remote opportrunity. This role will support commodity
purchasing in the daily execution of strategies and supply chain
requirements. The successful applicant should be prepared to
interact with our suppliers and stakeholders throughout our supply
chain. Adaptability, flexibility and great customer-service skills
are key to succeeding in this role.Job Description
- Lead RFI/ RFQ/ RFP and strategic sourcing process
- Support commodity lead in developing and executing sourcing
strategies
- Conduct contractual negotiations with suppliers on NDAs,
General Terms & Conditions and Production Supply Agreements
- Identify potential suppliers and analyze supplier
capabilities
- Perform detailed evaluation of quote competitiveness based on
cost breakdown, TCO, Make vs. Buy and raw material pricing trend
analysis
- Drive and implement cost reductions on prototype and production
vehicles through leveraged negotiations to achieve vehicle cost
targets
- Manage supplier relationships and performance through key
performance metrics
- Review Engineering, Design & Development (ED&D) costs with
Engineering leads to ensure best-in-class cost is attained.
- Manage vehicle budget in collaboration with Finance team
- Work closely alongside Program Management to support prototype
requirements, execute against build milestones and track sourcing
progress
- Support Supplier Quality plant audits and technical
reviews
- Update purchasing matrix to track and report project progress
and challenges Other
- Such other ancillary services as are necessary and as may be
reasonably prescribed by the Company.Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in electronics sourcing and supply
relationship management
- Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering; A designation in
Supply Chain Management is a plus
- Exceptional oral, written and verbal communication skills -
builds effective relationships across departments.
- Innovative and dedicated to learning new processes.
- Team player comfortable consistently working with multiple
teams.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Able to work well under pressure and to maintain realistic
balance among multiple priorities.
- Demonstrate proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong
decision-making capability.
- Legally able to work in United States.
