Job Description Job Description We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented mortgage loan processor for our lending team. The ideal candidate will have years of mortgage processing experience, a can-do attitude, and a proven track record of providing solutions in the mortgage lending industry. Responsibilities: Liaise between the mortgage lending underwriting department, mortgage loan originators, real estate agents, and applicants to facilitate loan approval Assemble and submit loan packages to the lender underwriters for approval or denial Obtain property documentation to process mortgage loan files, including appraisals, inspections, title searches, site surveys, contracts, and property tax records Work with the borrower to gather financial information such as credit reports, verify the accuracy to determine creditworthiness, and complete the mortgage loan application Assure that loan files meet banking and regulatory guidelines and policies Prepare files for closing, coordinate with the title, and ensure timely delivery of closing disclosures and closing packages Update loan status in LOS and CRM systems to reflect real-time progress Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, title agents, and real estate agents to ensure smooth closings Prepare files for closing, coordinate with the title, and ensure timely delivery of closing disclosures and closing packages Qualifications: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Mortgage lending experience and loan knowledge required, specifically with FHA, FHLB, FNMA, or VA loans Superb analytical skills, time management skills, and attention to detail We prefer an Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business - High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years loan processing experience required About Company Sonic Loans is a Michigan-based mortgage lender built for loan officers who want speed, precision, and the ability to close deals efficiently.
