Title Clearance Clerk / Specialist Location: Hybrid (Office Work From Home) Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a Title Clearance Clerk / Specialist to support our title operations by researching and resolving title issues prior to closing. This role is responsible for identifying and clearing encumbrances on title commitments and ensuring all outstanding matters are properly addressed. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable conducting independent research to locate payoff information, releases, and documentation required to clear title issues. This role offers a hybrid work environment , providing flexibility to work both in-office and remotely. Key Responsibilities Conduct research to obtain judgment lien payoffs and releases Work to clear encumbrances listed on title commitments Research and resolve UCC filings and clearance requirements Coordinate State and Federal Tax Lien clearances Review and order subordination agreements when necessary Communicate with attorneys, lenders, government offices, and other parties to resolve title issues Utilize online tools such as Google and other search platforms to locate contact information and documentation Maintain detailed records of research and title clearance progress Work closely with title examiners, processors, and closing teams to ensure files are cleared for closing Qualifications Preferred minimum 3 years of experience in the title industry or related experience working with title clearance processes Strong research skills and ability to independently locate information and solutions Familiarity with judgment liens, tax liens, UCC filings, and title encumbrances Experience communicating with lenders, courts, attorneys, and government offices Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple files and priorities in a fast-paced environment Work Environment Hybrid schedule available (combination of in-office and remote work) Collaborative team environment Opportunity to grow within a multi-state title operation
