Job Description Job Description Are you hands on, dependable, and skilled? If so this job may be for you. We are looking for an experienced building maintenance technician to join our existing crew. We have several facilities within a 2 miles radius that needs maintenance and upkeep. If you are interested in working for an organization that is in the business of helping people and that also cares for their employees, please read on to see if this is the job for you. 40 hours a week FT Monday - Friday and can be called in for emergencies. Reports to and Evaluated by: Facilities Manager Job Summary: Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance of all facilities, including preventive maintenance and repairs. Supervisory Responsibility: None Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for overall maintenance of the buildings, including routine maintenance on building systems. Responsible for overseeing all operating systems in the buildings, e.g., fire alarms, boiler inspections. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Assist the Facilities Manager in an annual review of building needs and in subsequent alterations when indicated. Support and adhere to the NPI Code of Ethics, work rules, policies, plans and procedures to promote a safe and secure environment for the residents, visitors and employees of New Paths. Follow all safety regulations and procedures within the maintenance work area. Responsible for answering emergency service calls after hours. Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager. Qualifications: Ability to work independently. Education and Experience: High school degree or equivalent. Three years’ experience in building maintenance. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing, walking. Must be able to climb, bend, crawl, use hands/fingers for fine motor skills. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.
