Job Description Job Description Maintenance Technician Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance, as well as minor repairs, on company properties to ensure they are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role requires a versatile skill set, including knowledge in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Key Responsibilities: Property Maintenance: Conduct routine tasks, including painting, flooring repairs, and drywall patching. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and plumbing systems. Perform property inspections to proactively identify maintenance needs. Construction Assistance: Support make-ready processes and small construction projects. Maintain tools and materials needed for maintenance and repairs. HVAC Systems: Perform basic HVAC maintenance, such as filter replacements and troubleshooting malfunctions. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and building codes in all maintenance and construction tasks. Participate in safety training and create a secure work environment. Emergency Repairs: Respond to emergency repair requests, including after-hours calls as needed. Record Keeping: Document all completed maintenance and repair tasks in AppFolio. Maintain an organized inventory of supplies and tools. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus. 2 years of experience in building maintenance or construction. Proficient in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. Ability to interpret safety regulations and maintenance guidelines. Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
