Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s degree in Physical
Education, Kinesiology, or a related field, Adapted Physical
Education (APE) certification, and 1 years Adaptive PE Teacher
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. An on-site opportunity is
available for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to provide
summer compensatory services within a small K-12 district in
Piedmont, CA. This contract position runs from June 8, 2026,
through July 3, 2026, serving students during the Extended School
Year (ESY) program. Key Responsibilities: Deliver adaptive physical
education instruction tailored to students with diverse physical
and developmental needs Provide 4 contact hours of direct teaching
per week, supplemented by 2 hours of preparation and planning
Collaborate with school staff to support students individualized
education programs (IEPs) during the summer session Adapt
activities to meet each students abilities and promote physical
development, coordination, and fitness within ESY programming
Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate
effectively with parents and school personnel Qualifications: Valid
teaching license with an Adaptive Physical Education (APE)
endorsement is required Experience working with K-12 students in
adaptive physical education settings preferred Strong understanding
of individualized instruction and physical education best practices
for students with disabilities Excellent communication and
organizational skills Ability to work on-site in Piedmont, CA
during the June-July contract period Location: Piedmont, California
