Job Description OB/GYN Physician Faculty Academic Role (Full-Time) Location: Michigan Great Lakes Bay Region A full-time OB/GYN physician faculty position is available with an academic medical institution in Michigan. The role includes clinical duties, teaching, and opportunities for research and leadership within a growing residency program.Compensation Package May Include: Competitive salary and excellent benefits Commencement bonus Relocation assistance CME allowance with 5 days Malpractice and liability coverage Licensing fee reimbursement Four (4) weeks of paid time off J1 and H1B visa sponsorshipEssential Functions:Clinical (90%) Provide direct patient care and maintain staff privileges at affiliated facilities Participate in call coverage (may include evenings, weekends, and holidays) Deliver care to a diverse patient population, including underserved and low-income communities Supervise residents and/or medical students in outpatient clinics, inpatient services, and during elective rotations Maintain independent practice without educational responsibilities as neededResearch (5%) Contribute to departmental research goals, averaging one day per month Engage in scholarly activities such as publications, presentations, and research mentoring Research experience and interest requiredEducation (5%) Support development and delivery of educational programs Participate in curriculum planning, resident and student evaluations, and clinical teaching Lead or participate in lectures, Grand Rounds, and conference presentations Participate in student clerkship conferences during rotationsQualifications: MD or DO degree Eligible for Michigan medical license Board-certified or board-eligible in OB/GYN Controlled Substance License Meets institutional credentialing standards Leadership and/or teaching experience preferred
