contract Speech Language Pathologist for a local contract job in
Plymouth, Michigan. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:
Speech Language Pathologist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date:
ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours -
Employment Type: Local Contract RCM is looking for full or part
time school based SLPs to provide therapy services to preschool and
elementary school students in Plymouth, MI for the remainder of the
school year. W2 contract with benefits offered. /n
/nQualifications/n /n/t - State of Michigan certification as a
teacher of the speech and language impaired preferred./n/t - SB
endorsement and/or Clinical Competence Certificate required/n/t -
An earned master's degree in speech and language pathology./n/t - A
minimum of sixty (60) semester hours of academic credit in normal
aspects of human communication, development, and clinical
techniques for evaluation and management of speech and language
disorders as described in State rule R340.1796./n/t - A minimum of
300 clock hours of supervised practicum experience with persons who
present a variety of communication disorders./n/t - Early Childhood
or Elementary education certification preferred./n/t - Demonstrated
skills in assessment and treatment of articulation, language,
voice, and fluency impairment./n/t - Willingness to learn in
district-specific strategies related to language acquisition
skills./n /n /nResponsibilities:/n/n /n/t - Assist early elementary
general education teachers in facilitating language acquisition
skills and sound awareness skills. Support strategies will include
the use of modeling, lessons, and team teaching./n/t - Act as a
liaison between school and home to foster parent involvement./n/t -
Participate as a member on intervention team meetings to assist
general education teachers with strategies to support children who
are at risk in the area of language acquisition./n/t - Conducts
speech/language evaluations and determines eligibility in
accordance with the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special
Education (MARSE)./n/t - Manage caseload assignment; develop and
implement IEPs./n/t - Maintains and submits records and reports in
a timely fashion./n/t - Demonstrates proficiency in written and
oral communication./n/t - Exhibit positive interpersonal skills and
is able to work collaboratively./n/t - Adheres to school system
rules, administrative procedures, local board policies, and state
and federal rules/n/t - and regulations./n/t - Engages in personal
professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and
leadership./n/t - Travel between multiple buildings./n /n
