Shop Manager/Mechanic Requirements
The primary function of the Shop Manager/Mechanic is to supervise
and coordinate the activities of mechanics and repairs at a small
shop that is part of a larger organization. Maintain part of the
fleet vehicles and perform repairs on outside vehicles continuing
to drive sales. Mentor and train the mechanics so the shop is well
rounded and can perform a diverse amount of services.
* 3+ years of relative experience
* Computer Skills (Excel/Microsoft Word/Email)
* CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or obtain with in
company specified time).
* Certification for Air Conditioning
* Experience using Heavy Duty diagnostics software (Cummins Insite,
Detroit Diagnostic Link, Davie4, Allison DOC, WABCO)
* State of Michigan Heavy Duty Certifications (Master Mechanic
preferred)
* Experience with hydraulics to perform diagnostics and repairs
* Pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, agility test and
7-year background check.
