Associate Implementation Engineer (with full-stack development experience)This position is for a 0-3 year associate with a technical college degree and a background in full stack development.--We are flexible on which language.Location: Detroit - Remote to start; prefer local candidates for this roleDuration: Contract to HireInterview: Phone screen and then a panel interview with managersStart Date: ASAPConversion Salary range: $70,000-$80,000 targetOVERVIEWWe are looking for an Associate Implementation Engineer with full-stack development skills to be an important part of building our latest innovative multi-tenant, micro-services solutions. The Associate Implementation Engineer will develop and deliver capabilities with an eye to improving the process we use to implement software.Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES--- Gathers business requirements from clients and translates those needs into applications software--- Determines best methodology and approach to implement and configure new requirements into existing and new client solutions--- Works closely with software development teams to test new application features, including identification of possible user actions and potential problems with current design/functionality--- Utilizes tracking system to identify and resolve defects with existing software applications and applies approved processes for correction--- Writes necessary technical documentation/training materials in support of new features with the application software--- With manager guidance, plans, organizes, develops, and delivers reports, deliverables, and projects on time, adhering to client requested specifications--- Provides technical support to internal clients currently utilizing software applications such as SQL and VBA, including assisting with system set up and local application customization/development adhering to client requested specifications--- Assists with training as needed, including developing training materials, and delivering training to staff--- Collaborate with teams to identify best practices and promote sound requirements and implementation methodologies--- Adheres to quality control standards client organizations--- Proactively communicates with management to provide updates and report issues in a timely manner--- Actively supports and participates in required training programs to achieve targeted development objectives--- Works with manager in completing own annual goal setting and performance review in a timely manner--- Works with manager to prioritize other duties as assignedQualifications:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies required.--- Database: Requires demonstrated knowledge of relational database management, including, creating, and executing queries, creating scripts, importing/exporting data and manipulating data; knowledge and experience with SQL is required--- MS Office: Requires demonstrated knowledge of MS Excel for charting and graphing of data, writing formulas, utilizing functions, and filtering, sorting, and formatting of data; ability to program within Microsoft Office applications using VBA is required.--- Technical/Software: Must have demonstrated programming proficiency at the minimum requirement for the role (programming proficiency varies by role and my not be required in certain roles. For those roles where programming proficiency is needed, typical programming languages used may include .NET, VBA, C#, SQL, Java, HTML, SSIS and Open Source)--- Tools: Proficiency in Visual Studio; Team Foundation Server (TFS) or any other AML tooling preferred.--- Verbal Communication: Requires the ability to compose and verbally deliver information of varying levels, using appropriate grammar, tone, inflection, and non-verbal cues, while also listening to and correctly deciphering verbal communication delivered by others--- Written Communication: Requires the ability and capacity to communicate ideas, facts and data in writing using appropriate grammar, syntax, and sentence structure--- Analytical Thinking/Reasoning: Requires the ability to understand a situation by breaking it apart into smaller pieces, and/or tracing the implications of a situation in a step-by-step causal way--- Teamwork & Cooperation: Requires the ability to work cooperatively with others and be part of a team--- Information Seeking: Requires the drive to gain a deeper understanding of work-related issues or events by making a concerted effort to gather information and seek out development opportunities--- Conceptual Thinking: Requires the ability to understand a situation or problem by putting the different pieces together to see the bigger picture--- Interpersonal Understanding: Requires the ability to understand other's feelings and concerns, and to value individual differences in people--- Relationship Building: Requires the ability to effectively build and maintain friendly, warm relationships or networks of contacts with clients/customersEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE--- University degree required; technical degrees are strongly preferred (i.e., engineering, computer science, management information systems, etc.) from an accredited college or university, or equivalent foreign institution.--Non-technical degrees will be considered if candidate possesses appropriate level of analytical and technical knowledge required for the role.Please send qualified resume to: kbarrymore@judge.com
