Job Description:

At Milan Metal Systems, our Operators manufacture stampings and welding to customer specifications in accordance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
The Quality Assurance Engineering is responsible for conducting quality studies related to critical quality matters, developing quality methods, procedures, and standards in cooperation with the Quality Manager, working with customers and suppliers, coordinating key customer programs, and assisting the Director of Quality, Quality Manager, Engineering Dept ,Purchasing Dept.,Plant Managers, and Sales Dept.on quality related issues.
Requirements:Education: College - two years of study in Quality Disciplines or Engineering.A four-year degree is preferred.Experience:Must have three years experience in a manufacturing plant environment in Quality Control or Engineering and have been closely involved in problem solving activities.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must have a broad, and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, automotive quality requirements, statistical process control, quality disciplines, inspection and sampling techniques.Must be adept in blueprint interpretation, control plan development and failure mode analysis and development.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Physical:In this position the person must be able to travel and spend many hours sitting, standing and walking.They must be able to communicate clearly with employees and customers.Mental:This position requires a high degree of problem solving ability.They must also be able to work as a team member in problem solving activities.Working Conditions:The Quality Assurance Engineer will spend many hours on the plant floor.They may be required to travel to various customers.The Quality Assurance Engineer may work long hours a day including Saturday and Sundays.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Work as a team member on new product launches.2.Track all feasibility issues that exist and work with Project Engineering on the elimination of all issues.3.Provide training to the Operations Staff on all new products, attend operations new product reviews to share information.4.Assist the Quality Director in the development of new Quality Procedures and the updates of the Quality and Engineering Manual.5.Review all newly launched projects for follow-up within 12 months of Initial Launch.6.Maintain complete files on all production parts and update as needed.7.Oversee and conduct SPC programs including employee training.8.While directing the efforts of the quality inspectors, IATF/documentcontrol coordinator, gage technician and PPAP coordinator to achieve the short term / long term goals of MMS (AVA). Responsible for making job assignments and scheduling work hours.9.Analyze complete control charts
