This is a salaried, full-time regular position with full benefits and equity. It is based on-site at our office in Wixom. CelLink Corporation designs and manufactures high-conductance flexible circuits with primary applications in electrification and vehicle wiring. Our product is truly game-changing, and we have wide-ranging industry support and a strong customer base. We are seeking a driven, energetic individual to join CelLink as an Applications Engineer . The Applications Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and execution of flex circuit products. This is a multi-faceted role with full product responsibility from conception to production release. The Applications Engineer will directly interface with OEM and Tier customers to design, build, test, and release flex circuit products with specific emphasis on LV automotive wiring application, specialty circuits, and high-speed data circuits. Duties and Responsibilities: Define requirements of flex circuit product based on internal, customer, and regulatory system-level requirements. Direct creation of 3D models and 2D drawings of wire harnesses, high speed data circuits, and specialty circuits using CAD best practices and processes. Experience with harness routing and fixation design methodology. Building prototype circuits (hands on) and supporting launch activities at plant. Lead design reviews and DFM analysis. DVP&R creation and execution to validate products along with DFMEAs and other pertinent APQP documentation. Develop processes, designs, and material combinations to enhance performance of CelLink's flexible circuits under various usage cases and applications. Terminal and connector selection for specific applications. A qualified candidate will have a large subset of these skills: BS Degree in Mechanical (or Electrical) Engineering. 3-5 years of experience in automotive harness design in harness applications such as fascia, door, energy backbones, IP, headliner, headlights, or similar. Experience in SolidWorks, CATIA V5, or AutoCAD tool sets. Working experience with Quality & Reliability disciplines (FMEA, 8D, APQP) and experience supporting launch activities and build events. GD&T knowledge, understanding of CC/SC drawing callouts and effects on manufacturing process. Knowledge of typical validation tests for wiring harnesses (i.e. USCAR-2, 12, 17, 21, 37, 38, SAEJ1113, MIL STD 461F, IEC610000). Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN Bus, SPI, isoSPI, CAN FD, Ethernet, flexray, USB, etc. Working knowledge of bench equipment (oscilloscope, Vector Network Analyzer, function generator, differential probe, multimeter, power supply, etc.). Adept in data processing, statistical analysis, and troubleshooting. Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation), with ability to discuss technical materials with wide range of audiences.
