We have a need for a Fire Safety Engineer to support our Mission Technologies Division, which has over 100 facilities worldwide and provides capabilities to support an all-domain force that includes artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous systems, critical nuclear operations, LVC systems, cyberspace strategies, and platform modernization.
This position will be part of a contract that provides support to the US Army's Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) Fire Protection Team.
Essential Job Responsibilities



  • Support the development of new and improved vehicle fire suppression systems and agents, to include the development and testing of agents with reduced global warming potential and reduced ozone layer impact potential.


  • Occasional travel required to support testing at sites such as Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.


    Minimum Qualifications


    • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.


    • Experience with the development and testing of fire detection and suppression systems, to include the agents used.


    • Ability to write and execute test plans, interpret test results, and develop recommended courses of action based on those results.


    • Clearance: Able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.


      Preferred Requirements

      • Experience with military ground vehicle fire detection, prevention, and suppression systems highly desired.
