TitleSenior CAE Engineer (Durability)Job Description SummaryAs a
Senior CAE Engineer, the associate will play a critical role in the
design and development of current electrification programs as well
as next-generation products. They would work closely with the CAE
lead to deliver various FEA, Durability, Sealing, Gear, and NVH
simulations.Job Description* Perform structural stress and
durability CAE analyses of 3-in-1 and 2-in-1 EDU systems and
components, and use the results to provide guidance to improve
structural design validation for current programs and future
products.* Perform eDrive, PTU, RDM & IRDA/IFDA housing topology
optimization to improve the stiffness and NVH target while reducing
the total mass, improving the overall fuel economy of AAM
products.* Perform driveline system NVH thermal sensitivity through
driveline system dynamics and bearing dynamics to improve the NVH
robustness.* Perform bolt joint sealing and bolt slippage
performance analysis of AAM drivetrain products with various gasket
designs and sealing strategies.* Perform PTU, RDM & eDrive assembly
mobility analysis to improve AAM driveline products NVH
performance;* Utilize Nastran for mobility and modal frequency
analysis of drivetrain systems.* Topology optimization analysis of
powertrain components using Optistruct software.* Bolt joint
sealing and bolt slippage performance analysis of powertrain system
under complex loading and thermal conditions.* Perform Rotor and
Stator interface design calculations* Perform Random Vibration
Fatigue and rotor-stator gap simulationRequired Skills and
Education* Master's degree in Engineering; PhD Preferred.* At least
two years of experience in nonlinear stress and fatigue analysis of
components using Hyperworks, Abaqus, Nastran, etc. software.* Prior
experience in 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 Electric Drive Unit design and
development preferred.* Prior experience in performing Park System
and Disconnect System analyses preferred.* Exposure to Mechatronics
CAE, Emag, and Thermal analyses will be considered a plus.About
