Power Electronics (PE) Control Board Engineering Subject Matter
Expert (SME) you will have the global responsibilities for STLA's
PE control board product development and research for all electric
vehicle platforms which include mHEV, HEV, PHEV and BEV. The
Engineer must be a strong systems-focused team player with
interdisciplinary experience/expertise, and willing to work in a
fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include but are not
limited to: Develop cost effective and reliable PE Control Boards
using cutting edge technologies, simulation tools, and test and
evaluation equipmentEstablish and apply PE control board best
practices from design to product launch, including supporting
validation and testingCreate, promote, and implement the global
technology roadmap for PE Control BoardsSupport creating Component
Specifications from vehicle, system and software requirements
including requirements for Durability, Warranty, Safety and
Performance at component levelSupport development of power
electronic Control Board DVP&R and all required
development/validation testing to ensure achievement of all
functional objectives and assure compliance to program
goalsParticipate in supplier assessments and Critical Design
Reviews of PE Control Board requirements, algorithms, and
deliverablesWork with the chosen suppliers and manufacturing
entities to ensure designs are robust to customer requirements,
meet exact function, and are manufacturable without
defectParticipate in post-test inspection reviews including
detailed failure analysis, and recommend changes to product
specifications as necessaryDevelop/enhance PE Control Board Tools,
Methods, and Test PlatformsProvide subject matter expertise,
mentoring, and managing problem resolution teamsWork with Inverter
Hardware Teams and SuppliersWork with cross-function/vehicle teams,
suppliers, and universities to develop/implement advanced
technologies for next generation electric vehicle
technologiesMaintain relevant technical documents, best practice,
and sign-off
