The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Lansing seeking EHS Managers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits of the manufacturing facility to identify hazards and non-compliance issues. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions for all EHS incidents. Provide comprehensive EHS training to all employees, including new hires, on safety procedures, hazard communication, and emergency response. Implement risk assessment processes to identify, evaluate, and control EHS risks associated with manufacturing operations. Manage hazardous waste disposal, air emissions, and wastewater discharge in accordance with environmental permits and regulations. Maintain accurate EHS records, prepare regulatory reports, and manage all necessary EHS permits and licenses. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity. Demonstrated expertise in federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and their practical application. Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager). Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Bonus Qualifications Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems. Demonstrated experience integrating EHS initiatives with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement programs. Proficiency with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Gensuite, Enablon). Experience managing Workers' Compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
