got the shop for you! APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered
with an exciting company in Auburn Hills, MI looking to add a Mold
Maker to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility
will be to build, repair, and maintain precision molds and dies to
ensure optimal performance in production. Keep reading for more

Friday from 6am-4:30pm, plus 5 hours on Saturday Competitive hourly
rate ranging between $25-$32/hr. depending on experience Direct

Troubleshoot tooling and mold issues during both design and shop
floor stages. Operate a variety of conventional machining
equipment, including lathes (turning, drilling, threading), milling
machines, surface grinders, welding equipment, drill presses,
tapping/threading tools, and polishing tools. Perform machining,
spotting, timing, detail completion, and mold or die assembly.
Revise, repair, upgrade, and fabricate molds, dies, or simple
tooling as needed. Review blueprints and programs to determine the
most efficient processes for each job. Inspect parts to maintain
quality and communicate findings with team members. Identify
process or equipment issues, recommend improvements, and prevent
future mold defects. Understand mold processing requirements such
as venting, heating, cooling, and polishing. Safely disassemble,
clean, troubleshoot, and reassemble active molds. Maintain and
troubleshoot hot runner systems, including probes, heaters, and
manifolds. Measure and calculate tooling stack-ups, verifying
dimensions. Collaborate with designers, programmers, and assemblers
to produce or repair components. Mentor apprentices to develop and
refine their skills. Operate hoists, hand trucks, and power trucks
(license required). What we are looking for: High school diploma or
GED 3 years of relevant experience Ability to read CAD designs,
procedures, and safety rules. Knowledgeable in inspection tools
(micrometers, calipers, comparators, etc.). Experience in operating
hoists, hand trucks, and power trucks (license required). At Apex,
