Description: OD Grinder Machine Operator (Studer Experience a Plus) Job Overview We are hiring an experienced OD Grinder Machine Operator to join our precision machining team. In this role, you will set up and operate OD grinding machines to produce high-tolerance parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates with Studer grinding machine experience are strongly encouraged to apply. What You’ll Do Set up, operate, and adjust OD grinding machines (manual and/or CNC) Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions Select, dress, and replace grinding wheels based on material and tolerance requirements Set up parts using magnetic chucks, fixtures, and sine plates Grind tight-tolerance components to meet quality and surface finish standards Monitor speeds, feeds, and machine performance during production Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools Complete required documentation, travelers, and inspection records Maintain a clean and safe work area Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting Required Qualifications 1–3 years of OD grinding experience in a manufacturing environment Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills Experience with grinding wheel selection, dressing, and setup Proficiency with micrometers, indicators, calipers, and gauges Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and trigonometry Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Qualifications Experience with Studer OD grinding machines CNC grinding experience Experience working with tight tolerances (.0002” or better) Background in aerospace, medical, automotive, or precision machining industries Education High School Diploma or GED required Technical school, apprenticeship, or machining certification a plus Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to perform repetitive motions and precision work Why Work With Us Competitive pay and overtime opportunities Stable, long-term work in a growing company Clean, organized shop with modern equipment Opportunities for advancement and skill development Requirements: PI3e6284d31c1b-25448-39534528
