Job Description:

The Assembly BIW Engineering Manager is responsible for but not limited too: Management and Supervision of 5 direct reports both SBU and NBU and 3 - 2 nd level HBU. 24hr / 7day critical situation support. Daily support of production and maintenance at all GEMBA mtgs using the SPW Shop Floor Management process/tools. Oversight and monitoring of systems performance and quality, identifying degrading trends and identifying causal issues. Problem solving issues, developing, and implementing corrective actions. Developing improvement projects specific to Engineering to increase JPH, Quality, Tracking and presenting performance metrics such as CYCLE time, JPH, Change over and number of open/closed issues and associated improvements achieved(benefits). Oversight of all welding system parameters and performance, responsible for archiving recipe data. All programmable device back-ups archiving. Standards assurance, approval and coordination of New Model / systems design, build, installation and preproduction build/performance.
