Job Description Job Description Mechanical Estimator Job Title: Mechanical Estimator Location: North Ridgeville, OH Salary Rate: $120,000 - $160,000 Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical estimator to manage commercial & industrial mechanical preconstruction. The ideal candidate will have experience with accubid, and mechanical estimating in manufacturing facilities, healthcare, hospitality, and more. If that sounds like you, please apply. Core Responsibilities Develop detailed mechanical estimates and budgets for commercial and industrial projects. Review mechanical drawings and specifications to confirm accuracy, completeness, and constructability. Collaborate with design teams, owners, and trade partners to refine scope and optimize cost. Lead value-engineering efforts to identify meaningful cost-saving opportunities without compromising performance. Prepare risk assessments and contribute to procurement strategies that support project goals. Maintain preconstruction schedules and ensure mechanical estimates are delivered on time. Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. Education & Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. 5 years of experience in mechanical estimating or preconstruction. Experience using BIM and virtual design tools. Familiarity with sustainable building practices and LEED certification. Background in design-build or integrated project delivery environments. Strong technical knowledge of process piping, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office. Experience with Accubid is a plus. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Candidates who complete the skills and questions move to the front of the line.
