The Opportunity

The Regional Director leads the strategic decision-making into individual markets, which is largely driven by leading events in local markets. These activities result in the acceleration and adoption by the field: programs, events, marketing campaigns, as well as all subjects that affect the livelihoods of the Global R+F Consultant community and that of their Customers. The field Sales is managed through market development plans that inform, educate and enable consultants to conduct their business through the leverage of corporate R + F resources.

The Regional Director partners closely with many cross-functional partners: Country Managers, Learning and Development, Recognition, National Events, Sales Support, Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Operations, Global Programs and Global Development to ensure that consultants have clarity with how best to deliver localized and national programs and events, manage team challenges and messaging, oversee all messaging and field facing communication with regard to field activities, brand positioning, product efficacy, national events and global programs.

The successful candidate for this position will:

  • Have the presence and credibility to engage in business level discussions with an executive level audience and speak at Rodan + Fields events
  • Be involved and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and work in the trenches as we grow market share

  • Bring a successful track record in developing and leading a field organization
  • Strong team orientation, presentation skills to a variety of audiences, analytical skills with strong oral and written communications skills are essential
  • Knowledgeable in the Field Development domain


    • Establish and develop the region's quarterly plans, budgets and performance targets
    • Collaborate with other Regional Directors on events, initiatives and quarterly business review as well as overall company strategy
    • Develop, organize and actively participate in company and Independent Consultants' meetings
    • Identify and support opportunities for field leadership acquisition and development
    • Constantly assess Consultant success and business outcomes in the context of compensation plan strategy, providing feedback and recommendations to the company to optimize and drive Consultant performance
    • Support regional Consultant leadership development, coaching individual leaders and their teams and recognizing and reinforcing successful practices
    • Identify training needs within the region, establish training targets and scorecard, and organize and promote training events
    • Consistently communicate with field leaders to ensure alignment on programs and incentives relating to business opportunity and product initiatives
    • The key metrics used to evaluate the successful execution of this position will include but not be limited to:

      • Increased sponsorship rates and retention rates
      • Increased sales per state and region
      • Field adoption of programs, incentive plans and market development initiatives

      • Travel required 30% - 40%


        • BS/BA and strong GPA from top tier university, MBA - Preferred
        • 10+ years of experience growing and developing field development staff in areas of sales success, delivering regional business initiatives, quarterly plans, budgets and performance targets.
        • 5+ years of progressive people management experience
        • Experience as a Zone, Regional or Area Manager/Director with large CPG companies (i.e. Kellogg, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Frito Lay, E&J Gallo, etc.) - Preferred
        • Demonstrated experience managing large field teams
        • Ability to implement sales development initiatives, sales metrics and group/individual goals
        • Experience monitoring and improving regional and individual's success and business outcomes
        • Excellent people management skills
        • Ability to scale a business that is experiencing hyper-growth
        • Approachable and warm demeanor, ability to influence (in the field as well as at the C-level) and ability to manage through ambiguity
        • Passion for innovation and bias for action
        • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written formats
        • Executive presence and experience
        • Must possess an enthusiastic, up-beat disposition and positive, can-do attitude
