Business Development Manager--Description:Jacapps, a leading developer of mobile and web applications in Michigan, is looking for a Busines Development Manager to join the Sales and Marketing Team as it expands into new lines of business and different industries. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding hunter and prospector and should possess exceptional communication and presentation skills and a STRONG ability to close.--Candidates should have experience selling software solutions and be passionate about technology, especially mobile and emerging technology. More importantly, candidates should have an 'always learning' approach to what they do and are expected to keep up with industry trends both mobile technology and the industry they are selling in. They should have the ability to understand client needs and connect those needs with innovative digital technology solutions in collaboration with internal product and development teams.--Here are some further things the candidate should possess:--

  • Be a self-starter
  • Have built your own pipeline before and maintained it
  • This DOES NOT mean taking on someone else's territory or book of business
  • Prospecting new business has been a large part of your process
  • Cold calling (comfortable and effective on the phones)
  • Can write an effective email
  • Comprehensive research skills and moves quickly
  • Client service is a passion of yours
  • You are comfortable working solo but also in a team environment
  • Bonus points if you have worked with a Marketing Department previously
  • Have been held accountable in previous positions based on:
  • KPI's and sales metrics
  • New accounts being signed up
  • Training and technology information retention
  • Can both WFH and in an office environment if needed
  • Always maintain a high level of communication with clients and co-workers
  • Willing to meet with clients and co-workers when needed, while maintaining all safety precautions--Responsibilities:
    • Proactively prospect, qualify, nurture, and maintain new lines of business as the sales lead with clients
    • Work with marketing to respond to, nurture and develop leads
    • Develop sales strategies, respond to RFPs and generate proposals that meet the objectives of the client
    • Continually grow and evolve technical knowledge about digital (particularly mobile) solutions
    • Propose and outline solutions for prospective clients
    • Active involvement in relevant networking groups
    • Forecast and track personal sales metricsQualifications:
      • 3+ years' sales experience with custom software solutions, SaaS or IT solutions
      • Experience delivering client-focused technology solutions
      • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
      • Outstanding verbal and written communications
      • Comfort with and affinity with high-growth, highly dynamic environment
      • Proficient with Salesforce, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Compensation:Modest base salary along with:
        • An aggressive commission structure that escalates as goals are met and exceeded (no cap on earning potential)
