Position Summary:

The Urban Innovation and Strategy Director reports directly to Bedrock's CEO and will be responsible for leading and/or executing on CEO-directed special projects. Projects will be diverse in size and scale, and may be aimed to gain insight, grow revenue and competitive advantage, develop early-stage ideas into future growth initiatives, and/or understands market and political dynamics to shape Bedrock's strategy. This position will provide business-critical analytics to drive business results. This position will interface with external partners and internal Bedrock teams to take special projects from idea to execution.


  • Manage and participate in a portfolio of diverse and complex initiatives and special projects that span one or multiple lines of business
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for initiatives as prioritized by the CEO
  • Aggregate data from multiple sources to create a complete analysis, improvement and/or recommendation(s)
  • Analyze complex project plans, and present results of analysis and reports to validate if project outcomes will meet the business needs, supports operational objectives, and recommend execution or mitigation plan(s)
  • Keep executive leaders and stakeholders informed of progress and changes through written or verbal communication
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
  • Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
  • Develop and manage project documentation, inclusive of project budgets, schedules, charters, agreements, and consultant deliverables
  • Develop project charters that provide an overall vision of the project goals and objectives to project team and stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Bachelor's and Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Law, or Engineering, preferred, or its equivalent in education and experience
    • At least 7 years of business administration, management consulting, policy strategy, or corporate real estate experience
    • Advanced analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
    • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
    • Ability to conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment
    • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers, cross-functional teams, and executive team
    • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
