Prestige Wine Imports Corp. is the exclusive importer of a
distinguished and diverse portfolio of high-quality Italian wines
sourced from the Italian Dolomites, Tuscany, Puglia, Veneto, and
Sicily, to name a few. Headquartered in NYC, we have an available
opportunity for an experienced regional manager to join our team in
the Central Division with a complex focus in the state of Michigan.
The ideal person will have a genuine interest in wine, a strong
sense of ethics and preferably excellent knowledge of both off and
- Develop and maintain relationships with key retailers and
restaurants within the region in addition to distributor work
- Develop, maintain, and enhance contacts and relationships with
distributor management and personnel, to preserve or create a
sturdy business relationship.
- Assist and support On and Off premise distributor sales
divisions, conduct monthly distributor sales meetings including new
item presentations, brand kickoffs and focus items.
- Responsible for pricing and promotions and budget
- Provide management with accurate and timely information
necessary to improve business, including but not limited to
competitive pricing, promotions, sales trends as well as providing
reasonable action plans.
- Provide reports such as a weekly accomplishment report,
regional account updates, top 100 updates, work-with schedules, and
allocation reports by market.
- Manage distributor inventory levels in conjunction with
distributor to avoid any out-of-stock issues.
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding company sales goals and
timely execution of company initiatives.
- Uphold company standards of excellence and service,
guaranteeing quality performance
- Utilize company systems for sales and depletion management
tracking of key accounts activity.
- Must be familiar with the market overall and have established
working relationships with key accounts including the chain market,
on and off premise, as well as distributors.
- Goal oriented with a proven track record of achieving sales
goals, distribution objectives, increasing case volume, developing
relationships, creating programs, launching new programs.
- Experience in making account visits, managing relationships
with distributor sales staff and management.
- Must make multiple account visits, introduction and follow
- Must have at least 6 years distributor wine and spirits sales
experience within this territory or comparable, with an established
successful sales history.
- Ability to lift, push and pull 30 pounds on a regular
- Organizational skills to manage large amounts of
- Persuasive public speaking and presentation skills as well as
the ability to close deals.
