The Program Manager of Intellectual and Developmental Services will
be responsible for the administrative and clinical functioning of
the IDD programs. This will include the orientation, training, and
clinical supervision of staff and any administrative functions
necessary for the delivery of services to clients who are enrolled
in these programs. Responsibilities will also include community
liaison activities necessary to establish and maintain effective
partnerships. Must have a working understanding of the requirements
of different funding sources as they relate to specific programs
and projects. Regular working hours are Monday through Thursday
8:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Based on the
needs of clients and the programs, additional hours, including
evenings and weekends, may also be required.
Responsibilities include the following:
1. Manage the implementation IDD programs as assigned
2. Ensure that program site/s provide a safe, welcoming, and
trauma-informed environment for clients, their families and
staff
3. Ensure that clients, families and other guests who visit TGC
consistently receive exceptional customer service
4. Assist with staff recruitment, and make recommendations
regarding the hiring, promotion and release of staff
5. Provide training to Supervisors and program staff as needed
6. Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Supervisors
and program staff as needed
7. Monitor and provide feedback regarding staff performance
8. Assist with development of protocols, policies and
procedures
9. Work within established program budgets, and submit financial
reports as required by the agency and funding sources
10. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with agency
staff and community partners
11. Advocate on behalf of IDD clients and their families to help
them meet their needs and improve their quality of life
12. Participate in the assessment of community needs and service
gaps
13. Work in conjunction with inter-departmental groups to ensure
the quality, continuity and consistency of services
14. Participate in committees, task forces and other work groups
within and outside of the agency as assigned
15. Work collaboratively to identify and eliminate barriers to
services, and enhance existing services to meet the needs of adults
and families
16. Work in consultation with the Total Quality Management
Department to ensure that service activities and case records meet
or exceed the standards established by the Joint Commission and
other accrediting bodies
17. Responsible for participating in monthly Total Quality
Management Committee meetings
18. Monitor the implementation and adherence to the established
quality improvement initiatives, activities and policies
19. Participate in program evaluation and program development
initiatives
20. Complete a minimum of 24 hours of program or position specific
training annually
21. Complete clinical and other documentation in a timely manner
consistent with agency the policies and procedures
22. Carry an agency cell phone as needed
23. Follow a professional code of ethics
24. Other duties as necessary
Travel: Mileage Reimbursement when personal vehicle used - IRS
standard. .64 per mile
Any training paid for by TGC.

Paid holidays include: New Year s Eve and New Year s Day, Martin
Luther King Day, 1D2 day for Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth,
4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after (Black
Friday), Christmas eve and Christmas Day.

This position requires a minimum of a Masters Degree in one of the
mental health professions with five (5) or more years of experience
in the evaluation and treatment of adults and children with
Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and at least one (1)
year of experience in a supervisory role.
LMSW, LLP, or LPC
The Program Manager will meet the criteria for Qualified
Intellectual Disability Professional consistent with current
certification standards for adult programs within 120 days of
hire.
Must have a valid driver s license and a favorable driving
record.

reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs
and diverse experiences of individuals and families, the ability to
engage and maintain therapeutic relationships, the ability to
develop collaborative relationships with agency staff and community
partners, and the ability to assess and intervene within complex
family and community systems.
Must have effective interpersonal communication and organizational
skills, and a willingness to be flexible, patient and creative.
Must have the ability to appropriately handle crisis
situations.
Must have some experience with program development and program
evaluation.
Will possess and maintain appropriate certification and/or
licensure with the State of Michigan.
