economic development across Detroit.About the OpportunityThe Growth
Capital Program Manager will provide support and assistance to
Capital programs by organizing and coordinating program activities,
events, and special projects, and managing program operational
functions including interfacing with potential, new, and existing
program participants. The ideal candidate will be a
detail-oriented, flexible person who is highly energetic, exhibits
professionalism, and can handle a multitude of tasks supporting
clerical, administrative, and project management functions. Duties
require broad and comprehensive knowledge of TechTown's operations,
policies, procedures, and practices. The Growth Capital Program
Manager must be organized, possess the ability to handle multiple
tasks, and enjoy working within an entrepreneurial environment that
is mission-driven and community-oriented. The Impact You Will
Make:-- Prioritize and negotiate organizational needs regarding
meetings, timeframes, and deadlines, following through on projects
to successful completion.-- Assist with program development,
planning, and execution.-- Manage vendor agreements and monitor
vendor performance-- Manage Program Coordinator (coordinates
activities for a variety of meetings, events, committees, and
special projects, completes a variety of administrative tasks
including managing active calendar of appointments, and supporting
growth capital programs as needed).-- Maintain data management and
reporting as needed.-- Represent TechTown at local events and
networking opportunities.-- Follow up on contacts and supports the
cultivation of ongoing relationships.-- Develop deep knowledge of
the organization's culture, structure, work, strengths, and
challenges to generate creative, effective ways to improve
functioning, procedures, protocols, and planning.-- Support the
growth capital team in the planning and implementation of special
events.-- Receive and review internal and external
correspondence.-- Facilitate cross-divisional coordination and
communication.-- Participate in strategy development and support
execution.-- Maintain awareness of corresponding budgets and follow
organizational processes related to budget management.-- Champion
organizational fundraising efforts.-- Other duties as
assigned.Requirements: What You Will Bring to the Table:-- College
degree OR a minimum of 3 years of experience equivalent in a
progressively responsible administrative position supporting an
Executive level position.-- Must possess strong interpersonal
skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders,
including staff, clients (i.e., founders and angel investors) and
external partners.-- Excellent verbal and writing communication
skills.-- Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with
strong decision-making capability.-- Highly resourceful team
player, with the ability to also be extremely effective
independently.-- Proven ability to handle confidential information
with discretion and be adaptable to various competing demands.--
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and
prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with keen attention to
details.-- Strong technical skills are highly desirable. Must be
proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and
Power Point) and Adobe Acrobat. Must be open and willing to learn
new platforms as required.-- Ability to work in a systems
environment, with ability to learn and use new software and systems
as required. Experience with a CRM preferred.-- Able and willing to
occasionally assist with weekend and evening events and/or
programs.-- Experience working in fast paced, multi-disciplinary,
collaborative teams and supporting high-level staff.Would be nice
to have:-- Experience working within a nonprofit environment is
desired.-- Bilingual - Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking
Spanish, Arabic, or American Sign Language.Salary:The budgeted
salary range for this position starts at $65,000 and may be
adjusted according to qualifications and experience.The
