Job Description:

The Building Project Manager will be responsible for the design and construction management of building enclosure and civil activities on building construction projects. This includes oversight of project activities from estimating, planning, conceptual and schematic design, detailed design, permitting, construction activities, and project close-out. This position coordinates all other disciplines within a project and will provide technical direction for buildings/civil works. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining project schedule, budget adherence, scope changes, and quality of work. The ideal candidate has the ability to develop schedules, manage workload, as well as improve building trade workforce efficiencies, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. The position requires working in a collaborative environment with all project staff disciplines to proactively identify issues, root cause problems, and drive continuous improvement. This position will start with working on the new EV Battery Plant in Kokomo, Indiana. Determine and define scope of work and deliverablesCoordinate design development with A/E firmsReview design documents for completion and scope adherence prior to biddingProvide input and analysis on Value Engineering ideas to reduce project scope and costPrepare initial bid packages including work scope definitions, pricing breakdowns, and milestone activitiesCreate baseline project schedulesWork with Purchasing for the bidding and selection of contractorsManage and provide oversight of construction scheduleOversee contractor support staff (construction management staff)Lead and attend design and construction meetingsManage and provide oversight of the construction budgetReview change orders against project scopeCoordinate with Value Analysis review of project bulletinsOversee construction activities and completion of work Provide technical support to project staff to resolve field issuesAssist in the resolution of questions from contractors, (i.e., interpreting the meaning and intent of drawings and specs) and submitting/tracking RFIs.Ensure work is in compliance with work scope and project specificationsReview monthly invoicingIssue progress updates and prepare presentations for upper managementCoordinate project activities with various project stakeholders within the companyProactively manage project activities to anticipate roadblocks and ensure adherence to overall timingManage and mitigate project risksOversee creation and finalization of punch-listsEnsure project close-out including finalization of permits, buy-offs, warranty data, O&M manuals, and as-built drawingsPDN-9921374f-2cd7-4490-8c25-114713e4dac1
