our more prestigious clients has asked for our help seeking a Vice
President of Operations.
Our client is incredibly dedicated to a culture of learning and
superior designs for various automotive parts and systems with over
10 manufacturing locations throughout the US and revenues of over
$2 Billion.
What you will be doing -
We seek a Vice President of Operations who can race ahead of the
pack! Our automotive supplier is looking for a savvy leader who can
steer our organization toward innovative technological objectives
that align with our long-term vision for growth and profitability.

operations to liaising with fellow Executive Team members, this

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Crafting a vision for the organization's future and setting its
sights on immediate and far-reaching goals. Through meticulous
planning and thoughtful policy development, works tirelessly to
shape the company's direction, all while ensuring that their
proposals align with the values and objectives of the board of
directors, CEO, and president.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure company goals
and objectives are met according to expectations.
- Have operational and financial responsibility for ten
facilities and have five direct reports and several hundred
indirect reports.
- Performance audits within manufacturing sites, up to 50% travel
as required.
- Identifies, recommends and implements new processes and systems
to improve and streamline organizational processes and resources to
ensure operational excellence.
- Ensures the department decision and project plans for staffing,
developing, materials, quality, and safety align with the
organization, business plan, and vision.
- Presents performance reports and metrics to President and
senior leadership.
- Reviews operating results of the organization, compares them to
established goals & objectives and takes action when gaps
exist.
- Creates budgets, allocates resources, and provides timelines to
ensure successful product launches.
- Establishes and maintains an effective system of communications
throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure the operational
function is supporting organizational strategic and tactical
goals.
- Partner with Human Resources function on talent reviews, talent
acquisition, labor relations, collective bargaining agreements,
employee engagement, compliance policies and procedures,
etc.
- Identifying training and development opportunities and
succession planning for senior leaders within the operational
function, including plant operations, materials, quality, safety,
and continuous improvement
- Ensures customer-related compliance requirements are achieved
IATF, ISO 14001, and product safety and regulatory
- Represents the organization to external and internal
customers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Proven Experience equivalent:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or
university; and/or 12 years related experience and training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience in Automotive
and manufacturing environment. (Required)
- Six Sigma, IATF Internal Auditor, and CRP certifications
preferred
- Author speeches and articles using original or innovative
techniques or styles. Ability to make compelling and persuasive
speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to
top management, public groups, and boards of directors.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as
exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency
distribution, determination of test reliability and validity,
analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and
factor analysis. Excellent communication and presentation
skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent skills in establishing policies, procedures, and
controls.
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced
environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of
deadlines.
- Ability to identify processes needing improvement and to
recommend improvements.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Products, including Word,
Excel and Power Point is required
