This position is responsible ensuring installation projects are completed according to agreed service levels, including creating scripts and configuring networks, servers and applications, migrating data etc. They managing access to cloud computing services to ensure that appropriate levels of access are allocated, policies and procedures are complied with, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met. They will be monitoring performance of the cloud computing services to ensure that there is minimum interruption of services. They will be identifying, analyzing and resolving cloud computing issues. They will be performing backup, restoration, job scheduling, system patching and other maintenance activities for cloud computing components and monitoring and reporting security breaches and any unauthorized data access. They will be responsible for preparing and testing disaster recovery and contingency plans. They will be collecting data on performance for the purpose of planning changes and improvements to cloud computing components. The position may be based in Northville, MI and reports directly to the VP Infrastructure and Operations of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Provide thought leadership in the development and execution of cloud-specific strategies, standards, and guidelines to define the Platform Target State, Blueprints and Roadmaps.
  • Work with infra & architecture teams to develop specific strategies (and target state architectures) to retire legacy systems, reduce technical debt, and transform the overall business and technology capabilities to achieve the target state.
  • Develop automation solutions to streamline processes, such as creating scripts to run specific tasks on computer systems
  • Collaborate with product development, information technology (IT) and architecture teams to evaluate and implement new services based on requirements
  • Implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access
  • Design, build and maintain highly available systems for SaaS products
  • Develop, configure and deploy monitoring tools and scripts for applications and systems
  • Recommend changes to the application architecture or design to improve the performance and efficiency of SaaS or PaaS products
  • Install and configure software following installation procedure and organizational guidelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents while collaborating with the development and IT teams to minimize downtime and maintain service quality
  • Monitor and analyze cloud resource usage to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, trends and platforms and adapting to the changing workplace environment
  • Create and maintain technical documents for cloud infrastructure and related processes
  • Develop and implement automation scripts to reduce repetitive tasks and eliminate human error
  • Collaborate effectively with the with Corporate Audit and Legal teams to develop technical security controls and standards.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing cloud ops team including objective setting, performance management, and mentoring of team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related major or commensurate experience.
    • MBA or equivalent degree desired
      Experience
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related major or commensurate experience.
      • 10+ years of working level experience in IT Enterprise Architecture or IT Infrastructure.
      • Cloud Certifications with MS Azure, AWS or Google strongly preferred.
      • Experience in a large-scale global IT enterprise environment.
      • Cloud migration experience, preferably to Azure or AWS
      • Strong background in data pipeline and database architectures
        Travel
        • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
        • Some international travel may be required
          Skills
          • Demonstrable understanding of one or more business sectors, manufacturing strongly preferred, and the issues driving change in those sectors and the relationship of business strategy options to technical solutions.
          • Knowledge and expertise in cloud operations & strategy across a broad spectrum of technology infrastructure and applications, including cloud-based database, storage, network, security, and third-party relationships.
          • Knowledge of the application of information security frameworks and controls programs such as ISO 27000, CoBIT, and NIST preferred.
          • Knowledge of enterprise architectural framework methodology (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman).
          • Knowledge of business analysis and financial modeling as it pertains to IT investment.
          • Program and project management planning and organizational skills, Agile/Scrum methodologies
          • Must be able to communicate complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people can understand.
          • Team player with high integrity, able to establish personal credibility and establish effective relationships throughout the organization.
