The VP of Business Models/Portfolio Management at Company Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) be responsible for developing future business offers, models, pricing/packaging and recommendations that
will enable us to drive growth and develop new ways to Go-To-Market. This team will also be responsible for managing the current portfolio – ensuring we introduce and retire offerings in alignment with our business strategy and growth goals. This leader will also manage pricing strategies across various offers including perpetual, SaaS, term and subscription, and hybrids. Finally, this role will also be responsible for providing direction and support inanalyzing possible mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, other partnerships, and divestitures in line with the Company PLM growth strategy.
The VP of Business Models/Portfolio Management will be responsible for leading a team in: Managing the current portfolio – ensuring we introduce and retire offerings in alignment with our business strategy and growth goals. Including monitoring business on an ongoing basis and making recommendations regarding prioritization of acute and diversified growth opportunities – and methodically ends of life solutions that do not make strategic, operational and financial sense for long term growth. Creating the development of strategic product priorities and, in partnership with P&L owners and Product Development, will bring these strategies to life through the creationof go-to-market business models/offers that complement and drive growth in existing channels, as well as disrupt and create new business opportunities to acquire new customers and drive future growth. Creating an analytical framework to holistically evaluate product/solution performance and recommend new go to market approaches. Managing pricing strategies across various offers including perpetual, SaaS, term and subscription, and hybrids. This includes Margin analyses by customer by product line or service, understanding drivers and obstacles of profitability, reporting/performance tracking, trend identification Conducting analysis, modeling, research, process design/documentation to ensure success in all pricing areas. This includes pricing strategies to support the business segments in pricing decisions though industry knowledge and analysis while aligning pricing to the overall corporate growth goals. Also includes pricing as it relates to new customers (acquisition) or existing customers (retention/penetration), pricing by segments and product lines being sure to capture the value the product, service or overall company brings to market. Leading Mergers and Acquisitions including directing negotiations, due diligence processes, and feasibility studies and helps to coordinate functional expertise throughout the process Acts as project director on certain M&A and partnership transactions. Depending on transaction, may lead, direct or support transaction oversight team. Provides analytical and tactical direction and support to mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, other partnerships, and divestitures including the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, negotiations, due diligence and integration activities. Assists in the development of financial/statistical forecasting models used for valuations, potential synergies and risk evaluations. Analyzes and understands potential transaction impact on capital capacity and other financial implications. Critical skills/experience needed for this role: Strong business acumen skills, critical thinking, communication/influence and understanding of financial fundamentals (Practice of Finance treatments for M&A, OEM, CAPEX and Investments). Understanding of key areas, such as: Knowledge/Practice of Company PLM markets, impact of disruptive influences, understand the quantification of the impact of technology disruption, portfolio lifecycle analysis, and general M&A practices/processes. Key Leadership Requirements: Excellent business acumen skills, portfolio analysis and financial acumen skills Unafraid to try new things or challenge the status quo and push the envelope Business credibility / executive presence with Company PLM executives, especially the CEO and Chief Financial Officer Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence/negotiate and garner support for objectives; comfortable negotiating and driving timely decisions Must be a flexible and creative individual capable of leading and managing multiple priorities and projects in a fast paced, often ambiguous and diverse environment Management experience required, including staff and budget responsibility MBA or 15+ years of business management experience.
