This is an excellent opportunity for candidates that are interested in building a program with the support of one of the largest children's hospitals in the state.Time will be split between consults on the hospital floors and coverage for the emergency room. Weekends and evenings will have rotating coverage. An interest in academics is preferred as teaching medical students, residents, and potentially fellows will be required. The Children's Hospital of Michigan is home to a freestanding Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, verified by the American College of Surgeons and a dedicated pediatric burn center, one of a few in the nation to be verified by the American Burn Association (ABA) and the Committee on Trauma of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).Candidates must be BE/BC with fellowship training in Child Psychiatry and eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Michigan.
