We Are Hiring: Join our family of dedicated, highly valued Registered Nurses at Ascension Macomb - Oakland, Madison Heights, MI!Full Time Night shift /7:00pm - 7:30am/ 36hrs weekly / Competitive Compensation / Excellent Benefits/ Intensive Care Unit -Nursing Supervisory experience is preferred. ACLS required.Up to $10,000 total Sign- On Bonus: requires 1year experience in the specialty area and a two-year employment commitment for Full and Part Time positions. - Unit Description: Oakland ICU has 12 beds. We care for both Medical and Surgical patients. The patient types are Hypoxic Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Sepsis, - HCAP Failed Outpatient, severe hyponatremia, Pancreatiits, COPD exacerbation, Carotid Endarterectomy, Fem-Pop Bypass Grafts etc.This position will be rotating based on the needs of the Department. Hours and available shifts may vary depending on scheduling needs. What You Will Do: Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Education:
    • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Additional Preferences: Critical Care experience is preferred. Must possess or obtain ACLS upon hire. For applicants without ICU experience, it is required that the new hire successfully completes Critical Care Academy Classes. While attending - Critical Care Academy you are also required to - successfully complete - the - Essentials of Critical Care Orientation - Modules over 14 week period.
