Charles Hospital:Job Summary:The Progressive Care (Step down)
Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering
exceptional nursing care to patients by:Utilizing strong
organizational and leadership skills to assess patient statusActing
as the service line between Med-Surg and ICU unitsDetermining the
priority of the patient's problems and needsDeveloping and
performing patient care plans to enhance and improve
outcomesEnsuring a safe and therapeutic environmentEssential
Functions:Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care teamProvide
advanced treatment and care to patients with complex
diagnosesEvaluates, updates and revises plan of care to facilitate
achievement of planned and expected outcomesAdminister medications
in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Mercy
Health policies and proceduresOther duties as
assignedEducation:Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or
Bachelors degree in NursingLicensing & Certifications:Current state
licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)Advanced Cardiac Life Support
(ACLS) -If you do not have this certification, Mercy Health will
help you gain this certification during OrientationBasic Life
Support (BLS) - American Heart Association requiredAdditional
required certifications may vary based on unitPhysical
Requirements:Performs repetitive tasks/motionsPreforms lifting,
