of our workforce. Job Description: Engages individuals and families
in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner regardless of stage of
readiness and phase of treatment. Coordinate referrals and ensure
physician orders are current for all cases prior to case
assignment. Assigns and supervises the caseload of direct reports
staff. Assists staff as required to manage caseload efficiently.
Reviews cases to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services
rendered. Conducts staff meetings to review strengths, outcomes,
problem areas and plan solutions. Carry caseload when necessary to
support expansion of children's intensive services. Assists staff
in improving and updating professional skills by providing them
with information such as pertinent conferences and seminars, new
techniques in the field and current and pending legislation
affecting mental health services. Orients, trains, and develops new
staff. Monitors case records, including signatures, and follow up
and referral of individuals to community agencies to aid in an
accurate history. Ensures that paperwork is maintained in
accordance with funding source and Easterseals MORC guidelines,
policies, and procedures. Provide clinical supervision Rapid
Response team members. Demonstrate the ability to identify stage of
change and use interventions consistent with stage of treatment.
Assist staff in developing strength-based, stage wise treatment
matched person centered plans that are designed to address
identified individual needs. Able to provide resources for
integrated treatment including self-help and peer support. Model
and use the Spirit of Motivational Interviewing in all interactions
with staff, individuals and stakeholders. Provides outcome and
strength based supervision to staff utilizing a range of
supervision techniques to foster professional development and
performance, develop skill sets and increase individual outcomes.
Conduct clinical case reviews that are competency based, strength
based, culturally relevant and focus on improving client outcomes.
(i.e. utilize motivational interviewing with staff-direct, follow,
and guide approach). Familiar with a variety of outcome measures
for psychiatric and co-occurring substance use, medical or other
disorders. Able to utilize outcome measurements in supervision and
with person centered planning. May also be responsible for the
coordination of specific programs and projects as assigned. Acts as
a liaison with community agencies and substance use and mental
health service providers, maintaining an awareness of the full
range of human services available in the community that may be
appropriate for client needs. Collaborates across disciplines for
co-treatment/consultation of complex co-occurring mental health
needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnoses. Instructs, assigns,
schedules, checks and appraises performance. Hires, recommends
disciplinary action and discharge, and recommends pay increases
and/or promotions. Demonstrates knowledge of principles of trauma
informed care. Willingness to support and assist individuals with
trauma related issues. Provides supervision in accordance with the
Individual and Clinical Supervisory Guidelines for the position.
Completes monthly chart audits when applicable. Performs all job
duties and completes paperwork in accordance with funding
sources.Minimum Qualification: Possess a Master's degree from an
accredited college or university with a major in Psychology; AND
Have a limited license as a Psychologist from the State of Michigan
Department of Consumer and Industry Services (LLP) or possess a
full license as a Psychologist (LP) from the State of Michigan
Department of Consumer and Industry Services; OR Possess a Master's
degree from an accredited college or university with a major in
Social Work; AND Have an LMSW from the State of Michigan Department
of Consumer and Industry Services; OR Possess a Master's degree
from an accredited college or university in Counseling; AND have a
license as a professional counselor (LPC ) from the State of
Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services; AND Have had
at least three (3) years of full-time casework experience including
1 year in a leadership role. Previous experience working with
neurodivergent individuals (specifically Autism Spectrum Disorder)
and challenging behaviors preferred. Possess a valid motor vehicle
operator or chauffeur's license. Must possess knowledge and
understanding of co-occurring disorder (mental health and substance
abuse); stages of change (transtheoretical model); trauma informed,
crisis intervention and safety protocols, Suicide Care, phases of
recovery and motivational interviewing/enhancement therapy.
Knowledgeable with criteria for dual diagnosis capability for
substance use and mental health programs. Must maintain 24 hours
child diagnostic treatment services training requirement. Benefits
