Our team has awarded us the Top Workplaces designation for 9 Years!Residential Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator who shares the same passion and mission for providing excellent care to patients and caregivers to join our Michigan hospice team.Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Responsibilities: --- Develop and run the Volunteer program under the guidelines of Hospice regulations.--- Recruit, educate and select volunteers.--- Establish a need for volunteer services with the patient and family/caregiver and entire hospice team.--- Develop a volunteer orientation/documented checklist program.--- Supervise and evaluate volunteers in a timely and appropriate manner.--- Maintain monthly statistics.--- Work with Human Resources in maintaining volunteer personnel files.--- Reevaluate volunteer program as necessary.--- Coordinate support/education meetings.--- Attends interdisciplinary group meetings.--- Provide information to individuals and community groups about hospice volunteer services.--- Conduct Patient Survey's.Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Qualifications: --- Competent and proficient in understanding the Hospice Volunteer program.--- Understands the hospice philosophy.--- Ability to supervise, coordinate and evaluate volunteer services.--- Ability to organize and develop volunteer hospice personnel for both patient and organizational needs.--- Ability to manage a group of individuals providing volunteer time and who will be considered employees.--- Experience at working both independently and in teams, collaborative environment is essential.
