Job SummaryDMC Harper University/Hutzel Women's Hospital is
seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to
lead our team of professionals. As a key member of our department,
you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of work,
delegating tasks, and ensuring that our department operates in a
safe and efficient manner.Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the work of Angiography Technologists,
ensuring that diagnostic procedures are performed according to
department standards.
- Monitor and improve the quality of work flow, identifying areas
for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to staff members, helping them to
develop their skills and advance in their careers.
- Assist with scheduling and timekeeping for Angiography
Technologists, ensuring that our department runs smoothly and
efficiently.
- Take call/standby as required by the department, demonstrating
a commitment to our patients and our team.Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
(ARRT) in Radiology (RT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiography
(VI) or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CV).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support -
Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by end of orientation
period.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) within 6
months of hire for employees working in adult setting or Pediatric
Advanced Life Support certification (PALS) within 1 year of hire
for employees working in a cardiology setting.
- Two or more years progressively more responsible Interventional
Radiology work experience.Skills and Qualifications
- Strong analytical and clinical skills, with the ability to
determine the most appropriate method of providing radiographs for
patients with physical or emotional limitations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the
ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other
hospital personnel.
- Technical knowledge of imaging equipment and supplies, with the
ability to operate and utilize them to produce high-quality
images.
- Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex
environment, handling multiple priorities and changing
