Includes 19 ORs, 1 cysto and 1 vascular lab. The specialty services
for the main OR include:General Surgery, Orthopedic sports med,
total joints, spine, Thoracic, GYN, Plastics, Urology, ENT,
Podiatry, Vascular, Neurosurgery, Robotics and CV, Hearts.About

on medical advancement.Scope of workThe Registered Nurse First
Assistant (RNFA), possessing advanced knowledge of anatomy and
physiology, and utilizing extensive patient assessment skills,
collaborates with all health team members to ensure the most
optimal patient outcome. Performs all activities at an expanded
level of perioperative nursing practice executed within the context
of the nursing process. Intra-operatively, the RNFA actively
assists the surgeon, performing observable, technical behaviors
(cognitive, psycho motor, and affective) based on an extensive body
of scientific knowledge, as specified in the Association of
periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Core Curriculum for the
RNFA.Qualifications
- Bachelors in Nursing Required
- Completion of RNFA accredited program Required
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Required
- Nurse in OR (CNOR) - CCI Competency and Credentialing Institute
Required
- RN First Assist, Certified (CRNFA) - Required
- Surgical Assistant, Certified (CSA) - NBSTSA National Board of
Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Required within 2
