American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT), BLS,
and 2 years of experience for a weekend hospital position with
potential floating requirements. Responsibilities - Position is
based in a hospital setting with shifts in the computerized
tomography (CT) department - Work schedule is Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. - Contract duration is 13 weeks
- May involve working in a fixed hospital unit or ambulatory mobile
unit as needed - Possibility to float to a nearby sister hospital -
Patient population includes those requiring CT imaging and
diagnostic procedures - Utilizes PACS and RIS systems for imaging
and study management - Duties include performing CT scans,
explaining procedures, administering IV contrast, and assisting
radiologists with complex procedures - Responsible for maintaining
and preparing equipment, managing supplies, and ensuring proper
radiation safety - Regularly interact with patients to gather
history, ensure comfort, and monitor for potential reactions to
contrast - Must complete all imaging documentation in medical
records and radiology information systems as required - Applicants
should demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, initiative, and
commitment to customer service - Physical demands include
occasional lifting or moving of equipment or patients over 10 lbs
and working with potentially contagious individuals or high-voltage
equipment - Scrub or dress code not specified Requirements - Active
ARRT (CT) and BLS (AHA) certifications required - Active Michigan
radiologic technologist license required if applicable - Minimum of
2 years of CT experience required - High school diploma or GED
equivalent required - Must complete online modules and pass
required testing prior to start date - COVID vaccination is
