Detroit Pediatric Radiology Job Details Position Type: Locum Tenens Physician (Travel/Contract) Specialty: Pediatric Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine Healthcare Setting: Children's Hospital Radiology Department Location: Detroit, MI 48201 (Michigan healthcare jobs) Contract Duration: January 1, 2026 – June 1, 2026 (22 weeks) Hours per Week: 36 Shift Structure: 12-hour shifts, varied schedule including weekends and evenings Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,390 – $7,560 Pediatric Radiologist Qualifications Active Board Certification (MD) in Radiology Pediatric Radiology Fellowship trained CAQ certified or eligible in Pediatric Radiology Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Pediatric Radiology BLS certification required Proficient in reading X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, Fluoroscopy, and MRI cases Strong communication and teamwork skills Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days Pediatric Radiology Responsibilities Provide onsite coverage for pediatric radiology cases, including X-Ray, Ultrasound, Stat CT, and Fluoroscopy Interpret and report imaging studies for pediatric patients Weekend and holiday coverage: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, reading all X-Ray, US, Stat CT, and Fluoroscopy cases; MRI as time permits Weekday coverage: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm, responsible for X-Ray, US, Stat CT, and Fluoroscopy; MRI as time permits Collaborate with referring physicians and hospital staff to ensure high-quality patient care Manage approximately 60 patient encounters per shift Maintain compliance with hospital policies and radiology best practices Apply now to join our Detroit healthcare team and make a difference in pediatric radiology!
