cardiovascular service line at assigned location. Responsible for
overall operational management, personnel management, financial
management, quality improvement initiatives, marketing promotion,
business development and strategic planning of Cardiovascular
Services. Oversees or directs the development of policies for
area(s) of responsibility. Approves policies and/or seeks other
system, regional, clinical service approval as appropriate. Ensures
the development of department procedures/protocols and secures
system approval as necessary. Oversees the development of
functional processes. Creates and seeks approval of organizational
structures. Approves personnel actions such as hires, fires,
disciplines, etc. Ensures the timely completion of performance
appraisals. Determines staff training needs and coordinates
training programs to enhance staff skills. Ensures that competency
requirements are met for clinical personnel based on standards set
forth by Patient Care Services. Develops short to long-range goals
and measures for area(s) of responsibility and oversees the
assessment of goal attainment. Develops, seeks approval of,
monitors and ensures compliance with budget. Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification 1. Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing or related
field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master’s degree preferred. 2. Five or more years of progressively
more responsible leadership experience in a hospital setting. Two
years of cardiovascular leadership experience is preferred. Skills
Required 1. Analytical ability to create solutions to difficult
administrative, technical or human situations, to anticipate and
resolve a broad range of issues and concerns on multiple, sometimes
unrelated, topics, to determine the need for process development
and refinement, to independently evaluate situations and outline
ramifications of multiple solutions or options, to recommend goals
for a function/area and understand when intervention in current
work processes must occur to ensure successful delivery of service.
2. Communication and/or interpersonal skills for contact with
internal and external customers/stakeholders to obtain and
interpret a variety of information based on knowledge of
departmental practices, DMC policies and programs and specific
technical and regulatory knowledge. Discretion must be exercised in
