Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/19/2026 About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Location (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid?): Detroit, MI (onsite) Contract Duration: 13 weeks Total Weekly Hours: 36 Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring and various medical gases therapy to patients. Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients. Maintains clinical expertise for Departmental assignments at various business units throughout, as assigned. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians and other system employees as needed, regarding patient care needs. Adequately documents all aspects of patient care. Supervises, directs and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs and students, as assigned. Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information. Skills: Required Skills & Experience : -Two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience. Preferred Skills & Experience : -N/A Education: Required Education : -Associate of Science Degree, from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program. Preferred Education : -Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy preferred. Required Certification & Licensure : -Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care. -Current License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan. -BLS Preferred Certification & Licensure : -N/A Schedule Notes: Education : Associate of Science Deg Certification : BLS License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan Technology : Cerner, Schedule for days (2 Positions) 6:30 am - 7:00 pm (3/12), every other weekend and holiday. Orientation: 3 days - 36 hours. Schedule for nights (1 position) 6:30pm - 7:00am, every other weekend and holiday. Orientation: 3 days - 36 hours On Call: No Block Scheduling: Yes Responsibility: Adult ICU or Neo Natal ICU - Will work in one or the other unit Must Have : Good communication skills, organization skills. Facility size: 500 patients. Note: ICU workers with only long term care facility experience will not work.
