organization. Pay: $16.50 - $21.50 Schedule: Operating hours are
between 7:00 AM-9:00 PM only 8 hours required 1 weekend a month

The Personal Caregiver is responsible for providing and assisting
participants with activities of daily living and
restorative/supportive care necessary to ensure the physical and
health safety of the home environment. Assists in monitoring and
reporting the health status and providing a safe environment for
the PACE participants of Senior Community Care of Michigan (SCCM).
As assigned, works shifts in the SCCM Day Center and provides care
and services to participants and assists with the provision of a
safe and effective day program Required Qualifications: To perform
this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with
disabilities to perform the essential functions. High School
diploma or equivalent required. Must have a valid driver’s license,
proof of insurance and have means of transportation. Must have
medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date
immunizations after having direct participant contact. Ability to
work effectively with culturally, economically, and educationally,
diverse populations. Ability to react calmly and effectively in
emergency situations Basic knowledge of how to support frail or
elderly in Activities of Daily Living (ADL). Essentials: Assist
participants with non-skilled activities of daily living (ADL’s) in
the home and in the Day Center including but not limited to
bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, hand
and foot nail care and toileting as assigned or needed. Assists
participants with non-skilled restorative and supportive care in
the home and in the Day Center including ambulating, positioning,
transferring, skin care, personal care, etc. as assigned or needed.
Assists participants with Independent Activities of Daily Living
(IADL’s) including, but not limited to, grocery shopping, cleaning,
changing bed linens, laundry, meal preparation and other routine
household care as assigned. Completes appropriate documentation of
services provided following Senior Community Care policy.
Implements Personal Care Services plan of care; contacts supervisor
with any clarifications. Reports changes in participant’s condition
and needs to the Personal Care Supervisor (or designee). Acts
within the scope of his or her authority to practice. About Senior
