TimeMRI Technologists are entrusted to use their education in the
art of cross-sectional imaging of the human body, with the intent
of providing excellent diagnostic images for the treatment of

Qualifications:Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology
ProgramARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Registered or Registry Eligible in MRINM State Certification for
Radiologic TechnologyBLS certification Duties and
Responsibilities:Performs MRI procedures at a professional and
technical level not requiring constant supervisionAscertains that
DNV standards and specialty recommendations are met for the MRI
departmentUnderstand the basic reporting system for position:
Radiology Director/Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Charge
Technologist, Sr. Radiologic TechnologistProvide knowledgeable
understanding of patient prioritizing (i.e., E.D., in-patient,
out-patient)Understand the transfer and viewing of images through
the P.A.C.S. systemUnderstand the ordering system through the
R.I.S. (Radiology Information System)Thorough comprehension of MRI
Call and the use of the remote teleradiology systemCoordinate MRI
exams, etc. with radiologist or related physicians as
neededMaintain, clean, and re-stock MRI procedure room when
neededThorough understanding of MRI Safety and Quench
proceduresThorough understanding of MRI patient screeningThorough
understanding of MRI safety standardsParticipates in setting
patient care standards and formulating new procedures within the
MRI departmentEach employee is responsible for implementing SJRMC's
Service Standards into their daily workTransportation of patients
as neededAssumes responsibility for own personal continuing
education and developmental needs. Attends meetings, workshops, and
conventions to increase clinical skills.Maintains employee
education training recordAdheres to radiology dress codeMaintains
confidentiality of all Hospital matters (i.e., patients
HIPAA)Practices good communication skillsConducts self in a
professional manner consistent with the values of San Juan Regional

Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:Exposure to radiation
hazards through radiology proceduresExposure to body fluids through
direct contact, IV procedures, infection and/or contagious
diseasesRequires lifting up to fifty (50) pounds, moving, pushing,
pulling, prolonged standingProvide multiple and directional
guidance during procedures to patients with caring and
compassionInteraction with potential verbally abusive
patientsExposure to High magnetic fields
