Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Detroit, MI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,522 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Not Specified Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Hours per Shift: 40.00 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in an ICU/Floor setting. Preferred 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience. License: Current License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan. Certifications: Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care required. BLS required. Must-Have: Candidates must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRT) will not be accepted under any circumstances. Description: Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gas therapies to patients. Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients. Maintains clinical expertise for departmental assignments throughout. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other system employees as needed regarding patient care needs. Adequately documents all aspects of patient care. Supervises, directs, and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, orients, externs, and students as assigned. Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information. NRP, Pediatric ICU, and Neonatal experience preferred. Cerner experience preferred. Familiarity with Puritan 980 machine, Hamilton Transport, and Servo U preferred. ABG competency is required.
