This locum tenens CRNA opportunity in Rochester, Michigan (Michigan anesthesia jobs, Rochester MI) offers a high-volume surgical practice averaging 35 cases per day across general, cardiovascular, neuro, ortho, robotic, ENT, urology and specialty services.   • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (June 15, 2026 - September 14, 2026)
  • Location: Rochester, MI (48307) - hospital-based locum tenens position
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,600 - $6,960 (competitive locum pay)
  • Shift: Rotating schedule, 8-hour day shifts (7am-3pm), 40 hours per week
  • Practice Setting: 180-bed hospital, 11 ORs, Level 3 Trauma Center, high-volume operating room (OR) environment
  • Average Surgical Cases/Day: 35 (broad case mix)
  • Documentation: Paper charting currently; transitioning to Epic in June 2026
Job Requirements / Qualifications
  • Current RN license and NBCRNA certification
  • Board Certified CRNA (AANA) or eligible
  • Active Michigan license (or compact/reciprocity where applicable)
  • BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program (Master's or Doctorate)
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills in perioperative and anesthesia settings
  • At least 1 year of CRNA experience preferred; new grads will be considered for this locum tenens anesthesia role
  • Clean background and ability to meet credentialing requirements
Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
  • Provide general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care across a wide variety of surgical specialties (Cardiac, Vascular, Neuro, General, ENT, Urology, Ortho, Robotic, Colo-Rectal, Podiatry, Plastic)
  • Deliver anesthesia services for out-of-department procedures (Non-invasive cardiology, OB, Endoscopy, Radiology)
  • Continuously monitor patients intraoperatively and manage anesthesia-related complications with sound clinical judgment
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and multimodal pain management to optimize recovery
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital, state, and regulatory standards (transitioning documentation to Epic June 2026)
  • Perform required procedures including arterial line placement, IV insertions, and floor intubations when indicated
