City and state must be separated by a comma followed by a space (e.g., Houston, TX) Distance within:Find Jobs What job title, keywords Where city, state, country Home View All Jobs (2,404,574) Job Information Henry Ford Health System Vendor Relationship Manager - Health Alliance Plan - Troy (full-time) in Troy, Michigan GENERAL SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, provide utilization management expertise and project, program and operational support for managing vendor relationships for the Health Care Management department. Utilization management expertise includes knowledge of CMS, NCQA and Department of Labor standards, as well as general managed care principles and cost saving strategies. Project, program and operational support includes completing and assisting with the implementation of project tasks. Evaluative support includes analyzing current programs and providing expert knowledge, guidance and input on revision of policies, procedures and programs. Using standardized project management tools, provide project-based leadership including: financial analysis, project analysis, critical thinking, metrics and issue resolution through teamwork and consensus. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead projects and participate in work teams that support key vendor relationships and initiatives. Prepare and present projects and provide status reports to management. - In coordination with the program development team, assist with the development and implementation of new vendor programs, policies and business plans within established timeframes. - Participate in planning and conducting utilization studies including data collection, analysis, and follow-up activities with both internal and external customers. - Evaluate existing vendor programs and improve operations to gain cost reduction, quality improvement, efficiencies and/or enhanced service. Maintain a culture of continuous improvement. - In coordination with the training team, provide education to the vendor and HCM regarding the vendor's role and processes. Create training documents and manuals. - In coordination with the HCM compliance team, provide regulatory oversight of vendors. Conduct vendor audits and perform quality reviews and assessments. Create and maintain required regulatory documentation for CMS, NCQA, etc. - Work with HAP's legal and other teams such as information privacy to create/update contractual documentation, such as the pre-delegate assessment, delegation agreement, risk assessment, etc. - Evaluate the vendor's performance in accordance with all contracts/agreements. Identify, complete and enforce appropriate metrics to measure vendor performance on an annual or as needed basis. - Manage the vendor relationship. Maintain open communication and a positive working relationship with vendor representatives. - Plan, prioritize and schedule work in accordance with HCM and vendor needs. Manage issue escalation as needed. - Maintain orderly documentation of all key communications, decisions, regulatory updates, etc. - Work independently or in teams as required. - Perform all other responsibilities as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Bachelor's degree or a minimum of six (6) years of related experience in a health care setting, required. - Minimum of four (4) years' experience in health care setting, required. - Experience with project management, required. - Experience with CMS and/or NCQA standards, required. - Participation in outcomes metrics, required.
