Job DescriptionCompany DetailsThe Detroit Pizza Bar is a Modern
Trendy Eatery with a full-service restaurant and bars complete with
a rooftop terrace. The focus of Detroit Pizza Bar is of course
pizza, offering vegan and gluten-free options along with a full
urban Italian menu. DPB is a hybrid between fine dining and casual
dining restaurants. We seek to disrupt the urban dining model in
two ways first; by offering more responsive tables and customer
service.LocationDetroit Pizza Bar will be located in the Liv-6
neighborhood. The physical address is 7316 West McNichols St,
Detroit MI. This will be a 4,500 square foot commercial building,
with a rooftop terrace that will service 198 patrons.Job summary
Salary: commiserate with experience starting salary $20,000
Fulltime Accountable to Pizza Bar Ownership and Restaurant Manager
Responsible for: Bartending Staff. Head Bartender responsibilities
and dutiesHead bartenders usually have extensive serving experience
and excel at both customer service and coordinating teams of
bartenders.:Serve customersOne of the primary duties of a head
bartender to serve customers, which requires taking customer
orders, relay them to kitchen staff, and deliver alcoholic
beverages. Clean and prepare the dining areaHead bartenders review
cleaning checklists and make sure they are completed before the
restaurant opening. They check the bar area throughout their shift
to ensure it is presentable and free of debris.Train new
bartendersThe Head bartender is responsible for training new
servers, making sure they are familiar with restaurant policies and
practices, and evaluating their performance during their first few
shifts. You will provide direction and guidance to less-experienced
bartenders and report on their progress to restaurant
management.Manage paymentsThe ability to manage both cash and
credit card payments. This will include taking payments from
customers and making changes, as well as entering payments in the
restaurant's point-of-sale system. You may also be in charge of
managing cash tips, keeping a record of tips and schedules, and
then dividing the tips at the end of the shift or workweek,
depending on restaurant policy.Head Bartender qualifications and
skillsCustomer service - excellent customer service skills, an
outgoing personality, and the ability to successfully listen to and
respond to customers are important to positionCoordination and
lifting – the ability to lift and carry heavy and awkward trays of
drinks and food; maintaining a high level of energy is also
vitalTeam leadership - must take an active role in training and
leading teams of the bartender, effectively coordinating and
communicating with staff membersConflict resolution - respond to
customer complaints and resolve conflicts between bar staff,
restaurant personnel, and dinersTime management - often manage
schedules and staffing; effective time management is key to
creating a positive dining experienceWork Experience
