Position Overview

The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. This role aids and facilitates human resource processes. Additionally, they will provide a positive customer service experience to team members and vendors by being the point of contact and assisting them with related inquiries.

Human Resources Coordinator Essential Functions

The ideal candidate must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Answer employee requests and questions via phone or HR ticketing system. Process, verify and maintain personnel-related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, medical information, and employee leaves of absence.
  • Act as a resource for questions on policies, procedures and general human resources information to team members and leaders.
  • Facilitate Unemployment documentation and attend unemployment hearings; ensure company targets are met with regard to successful unemployment adjudications.
  • Own the initial administration of Workers Compensation Data input, including capturing the first report of injury and facilitation with our Workers Compensation Carriers.
  • Tracks absences for Workers Compensation and keeps OSHA compliant logs for injuries; assists in the creation and filing of the annual OSHA 300A form Review documentation for accuracy and ensure compliance with state and federal mandates.
  • Manages the documentation and filing system for the federal vaccination mandate, ensuring full compliance with company and federal guidelines.
  • Communicate regulations, policies, and procedures to team members as needed.

  • Assist in filing and personnel data collection activities with regard to employee onboarding and continued employment, including within our Applicant Tracking System and our HRIS.
    Administrative Tasks
    • Assist in filing, audits, and personnel data collection activities
    • Supports the HR Team and business in administrative tasks that are confidential and sensitive in nature
    • Assist and prepare correspondence as requested
    • Sort through mail and fax to ensure appropriate delivery and responses
      Qualifications
      • 1 + years human resources experience or a combination of 6 months of administrative experience coupled with 6 months of customer service experience in a related field.
      • Proficiency in PC software, especially word processing and spreadsheet programs
      • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal with internal and external stakeholders
      • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
      • Ability to build rapport with team members, explain complicated information in an approachable and easily understood manner, effectively handle challenging phone conversations, and represent the Centria brand
      • Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks, adhere to established deadlines, and produce work that consistently meets or exceeds team benchmarks
      • Proven adaptability with a willingness to work both collaboratively and individually to achieve desired business outcomes
      • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
        Education
        • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree, in Human Resources or a related area of study, preferred

            Working Conditions

            Centria's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Additional time may be required to complete above work or meet company objectives.

            Physical Requirements

            While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching, and lifting of up to 30 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting a majority of the day as well as walking as standing when needed. This role will require close visual activity on multiple computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
