Job Description:
Job ResponsibilitiesAdministers various human resource plans and
procedures for company personnel; assists in the development and
implementation of personnel policies and proceduresPrepares and
maintains handbook on policies and proceduresFacilitate recruitment
of salaried and indirect employees through timely recruitment, ad
placement, review of applications and resumes, scheduling
interviews and offers of employmentOversees the recruitment of
hourly, co-op, temporary and contract employees. Prepare for and
conduct orientation with newly hired hourly & salaried
employeesPartners with the Department Managers to oversee the
Engagement Activities in Production DepartmentsHandles employee
disciplines, terminations and exit interviewingVerify accuracy of
new hire recruiting documentation according to local, state and
federal regulations as well as in compliance with company
requirements, IATF, & ISOUpdates job descriptions and classifies in
appropriate pay grade as necessary and inputs new job descriptions
and changes into HRIS and IQS (document control) systemsAnalyzes
compensation - gather benchmarking data from comp surveys and
market data for benchmarkingProvide information on legal issues
such as FLSA, FMLA, EEO, sexual harassment to promote compliance
with managers as neededDaily safety activities coordinated with EHS
EngineerCounsel and provide guidance to management staff on Human
Resource issuesParticipate in developing department goals,
objectives, and systemsAssist in evaluation of reports, decisions,
and results of department in relation to established goals.
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect
continual improvements in efficiency of department and services
performedResponds to employee relation issues such as employee
complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights
complaintsProvide "open-door" program for salaried and hourly
staffHandles investigation of non-compliance issues related to
alleged violations of company policies and procedures of Federal
and State lawsAll other duties as assigned by the HR DirectorJob
QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or
university; and a minimum of five (5) years of Human Resource
experience in a manufacturing environmentMust have exceptional
decision making and delegation skillsExcellent communication skills
and computer skills necessaryProficiency in HRIS / Payroll software
(SuccessFactors experience a plus)Reliance One, Inc. provides equal
